Our Commitment

Accessibility at ARPP

This website is built for professionals, parents and students across India, including people who use assistive technology. Here is what we've done, and how to reach us if something doesn't work for you.

Conformance target

We aim for this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, and more usable for everyone.

What we've built in

Keyboard & screen reader support

A "skip to main content" link, landmark regions, descriptive link text, and image alt text throughout. Menus and the photo carousel are fully operable by keyboard.

Colour & contrast

Text and interactive elements are checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).

Resizable text

Layouts are built with relative units so text can be resized up to 200% using browser zoom, or via the accessibility widget, without loss of content.

Reduced motion

Scroll animations and the homepage slideshow respect your operating system's "reduce motion" setting, and can be paused from the widget at any time.

The accessibility widget

Look for the circular icon in the bottom-right corner of every page. It lets you:

  • Increase or decrease text size across the whole site
  • Switch to a high-contrast colour theme
  • Underline all links for easier identification
  • Enable a larger mouse cursor
  • Pause animations and the homepage slideshow

Your choices are saved on your own device and applied automatically the next time you visit.

Known limitations

We are a small team and this site is under continuous improvement. If you encounter a page, document or feature that is difficult to use with assistive technology, please let us know using the details below and we will work to address it.

Feedback & contact
